That's where Funtown Splashtown has the advantage over competitors. I feel like the price to get in to both parks is pretty good, especially compared to other theme parks that just offer one or the other and not both. We were able to get through most of the rides in a matter of a few hours, so doing both parks in one day is definitely doable. I love faster rides, so I wasn't disappointed. Also at the park are Thunder Falls Log Flume, Portland Pirates Paradise, and the Mammoth. The park is home to the Excalibur wooden roller coaster and Dragon’s Descent Turbo Drop the largest and tallest rides in Northern New England. Overall, there's a good mix of rides for all ages. We went to Funtown after having fun at Splashtown. I didn't get to go on any of the more adult slides that shoot a person down fast, but I heard they're great fun and over before you know it. ![]() The pirate splash area was fun for everyone, except when that huge bucket of water gives way and throws water at very high speeds on unexpecting visitors. The tube slides were really fun, and my Daredevil son loves the black slide because it's fast and you can't see anything inside. Splashtown was great during the day when it was super hot. We spent a whole day at the park between splashtown and funtown. The log fume features meters that you can pay 25 cents to have more water sprayed on your friends and family. People love seeing themselves in the photos from the rides. There are ample lifeguards on every slide and at every pool. Some slides, there are tubes that you can travel with 2 people in a tube. There are a few rides that are quite thrill seeking. a 5K Run and Walk team, and the Funtown Splashtown Amusement Park just a few. After the success of their Jumbo Slice pizza, the hot dog stand became a full-service restaurant. The café got its name from the Funtown Pier’s Log Flume ride. A major safety feature for Hopkins flumes are the small conveyor belts before each drop. Its origins were humble, too, starting from a simple hotdog stand just outside the Funtown Pier entrance. Thunder Falls at Funtown/Splashtown USA (Saco, ME) opened in 1984 and featured one of the largest flume drop in the world.
